public(7)
What is hidden, from whom, and until when. These lines are exact; nothing else is promised.
Who sees what
| before the close | after the close | |
|---|---|---|
| public | nothing | can remove the time lock, still faces the room-key layer |
| the room | nothing: it holds the inner key but not the drand round | reads every order of the batch |
| you | your own order | your own order |
Hidden from everyone until the close, the operator included: market, side, size, limit.
Hidden from the public forever, for unmatched orders: all four. The room reads them after the close to match the batch and publishes nothing about them.
Public after settlement, for matched orders: owner, market, side, size, limit and fill. These are the prints, as dark pools report prints after execution.
Public for void orders: an order whose limit crossed but whose balance did not cover it is void, and voiding it publishes its market, side and size. The contract checks the balance claim. The order form refuses to seal an order your balance does not cover.
Always public
- that your address sealed an order in batch N, and when;
- your deposits and withdrawals, per asset (balances are onchain).
Hiding side and size
balance in the room what an observer can guess USDG only a buy, at most this large NVDA only a sell of NVDA USDG + several stocks side and market unclear more than you trade size unclear
Balances are decoupled from orders: an order never names an amount at submission, and every market shares one batch and one contract, so a seal shows neither the stock nor the side. Keep both kinds of asset in the room, and spare balance, to blur what your balance alone suggests.
